Videos Can Slow Down Site Load Speeds

LuckyEthel n Bert In The Pink

We would like to thank the cool Hungry For Hits member miyapesic, who helps us all get the best results while surfing & chatting.

Using the chatroom at Hungry For Hits we were able to learn that videos were slowing down the loading of pages at traffic exchanges.

We ran some site loading tests and discovered the following:

Auto-playing videos embedded from YouTube instead of having them manually played by visitors can multiply the load time by up to a factor of four.

Can Increase A Normal Page Load Time

From 1.5 seconds  to 6 seconds or more

This can cause major problems when internet speeds are slow in different countries or on fast timer days at traffic exchanges.

If you need videos running at traffic exchanges hooked from YouTube to your own blog make sure they are set to use just the embed code given for each video at YouTube.

The embed codes given are not auto-play.

This is why we love Hungry For Hits & all it’s cool members.  With everyone, including Admin, actively involved in the chatroom, any member problems be changed to advantages with good marketing plus branding.  Or they can be fixed fast.

Lurking At Hungry For Hits Is GREAT Fun!!
